There are 7 days a week and 24 hours in each day. Everybody gets the same 24 hours and 7 days a week, nobody gets more time and nobody gets less time. How you use that time and how efficient you are with your time is what really matters. Having good time management can be very difficult and is definitely something that you should work towards every day.

How are you utilizing your 24 hours a day?

  1. Make A List pexels-photo-58457-large

Every morning when youwake up or before you go to bed make sure that you make a list of activities that you will do that day. List them in order of importance, meaning you accomplish what is most important to you first and least important last. Make sure to write down how much time you are going to dedicate to that activity and stick to your list to the best of your abilities.

Mark Twan said, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”

People for some reason like to overwhelm themselves with simple tasks, if you wan t to manage your time more wisely then the first step is simple, make a list. Make it a habit to write down your list each and every day, if you don’t then you’re only hurting yourself.

2. Don’t Waste Time On Social Media

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and many more social media sites can be very beneficial to you and your business. However, if you are wasting time on social media by looking through pictures, sending irrelevant messages back and forth, reading about peoples day, and ultimately just wasting time, then you aren’t utilizing the smart way.

This is a hard habit to break and many of the millions of monthly users can agree. I myself can testify to this, but all it takes it a little self control.

3. Break a Bad Habit

We all have a habit that we enjoy doing that we know isn’t beneficial to us. Weather it be coming home after a long day and sitting in front of the TV for hours, going out to hang out with friends more than 4 times a week, wasting hours on social media, and anything that will waste your valuable time.

Ask yourself these questions:

  1. What is a bad habit that I need to break?
  2. Will breaking this habit be beneficial to me?
  3. Whats the first step in order for me to break this habit?
  4. How will this impact my life after I have broken this habit?

Making sure that you keep distractions to a minimum and staying focused on what you really want to accomplish weather it be scaling your company to a higher level or just simply having a more productive day, make sure that you stay focused and utilize the 24 hours that you are given in a day.

4. Having a Good Sleeping schedule

Having a good sleeping schedule is a big factor in having a productive day and using your time efficiently. If you are going to sleep late because you were up all night then you are most likely going to be waking up late that is NOT having a good sleeping schedule. Im sure you have heard the saying, “The early bird gets the worm.” Making sure that you have a productive day by waking up early and getting your day started is what I recommend. If you are up late at night then that will impact you negatively the next day, you will be tired and un-motivated to get through your day ultimately leading to a sluggish day where you aren’t doing your priorities in an efficient way.
